The protesters alleged that previous discussions with authorities took place privately but failed to produce any concrete solution. Minister Irfan Ansari said the government has opened the door for discussions and assured that genuine demands would be considered. Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh also said that the Chief Minister has taken a positive approach and a process has started to engage with the protesters.
