United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jamie McDonald, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations (“HSI”), Pete Gizas, and Commissioner of the New York City Police Department (“NYPD”), Jessica S. Tisch, announced today that VICTOR ALVELO has been charged with possessing approximately thousands of images and videos depicting child pornography, including images that depict pre-pubescent children engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
