Very High Fire Risk for Attica, Boeotia and Evia on Thursday

According to the Fire Risk Forecast Map issued by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection under the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection (civilprotection.gov.gr), Thursday, August 6, 2026, brings a very high fire risk (risk category 4) for the following areas: Attica RegionCentral Greece Region (Regional Units of Boeotia and Evia) The General Secretariat for Civil Protection has notified the relevant state agencies, along with the regions and municipalities of these areas, so they can remain on heightened alert to respond immediately to any fire incidents.
It also reminds the public that burning agricultural fields is banned during the fire season.
Anyone who spots a fire is asked to notify the Fire Service immediately by calling 199.
