Uzatom, Hungary's MVM EGI advance nuclear cooling technology talks

advanced negotiations on deploying dry cooling technology at Uzbekistan's planned nuclear power plant, with the sides also discussing greater localization of equipment manufacturing.
"MVM EGI highly values the open dialogue with Uzatom and remains committed to further cooperation on modern technological solutions that support the sustainable development of Uzbekistan's nuclear energy sector," Kárpáti said, according to Uzatom.
A key topic of the talks was increasing the localization of production by manufacturing components for the cooling systems in Uzbekistan.
The sides also reviewed progress toward concluding contract negotiations for the dry cooling project and discussed moving to the implementation phase.
