The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and Kyrgyzstan discussed competition policy, antitrust regulation and fair roaming tariffs across the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The meeting concluded with agreements on priority areas for further cooperation and possible approaches to addressing challenges in antitrust regulation within the union. Kyrgyzstan has been gradually aligning its competition legislation with EAEU rules as part of the bloc's broader effort to create a common market with harmonized regulatory standards. In recent years, Bishkek has updated legislation governing competition and market oversight while expanding cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Commission on antitrust enforcement and cross-border regulatory coordination. The EAEU has also identified competition policy as one of the key instruments for removing non-tariff barriers within the common market.
