Spread the loveOn Tuesday morning, the Winchester/Randolph County Animal Shelter in Winchester, Indiana posted a photo of a large bag of Purina Dog Chow asking for the public’s help replenishing their short supply of dog food. We are down to our last bag of dog food, and with over 45 dogs currently in our care, we desperately need your support. Area residents, rescue followers and neighbors were asked to drop off dry dog food at the shelter during regular business hours. The staff did want to clarify their message explaining they were down to their last bag of dog food, but meant their last unopened bag. Within the last few weeks, the shelter has accepted more than 20 dogs that include strays and owner surrenders, pushing the shelter well beyond capacity.
