Despite the challenges, the director-general of Croatian Waters (Hrvatske vode), Zoran Đuroković, says that the water supply for the population is not currently under threat. In some areas pressure drops in the network are being recorded, but water supply remains stable. Zagreb’s Water Supply and Sewerage company (ViO) also says there is no cause for concern, stating that water extraction in the city area is proceeding without difficulty. “In the City of Zagreb, water extraction is taking place smoothly and there are currently no indications of possible disruptions in water supply,” ViO emphasised.
