The cause behind the Eaton Fire revealed in a newly released report is pushing a call to action from some wildfire survivors on pending wildfire legislation. The long-awaited report released Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Fire Department determined a Southern California Edison electrical tower sparked the Eaton Fire in 2025. The latest report by the LA County Fire Department blamed Southern California Edison for the deadly wildfire. A spokesperson for Southern California Edison acknowledges SCE is part of the coalition. NBC4 has reached out to the governor’s office for comment on the new report and efforts regarding changes to wildfire legislation and we did not receive a response.
