A Czech prosecutor has indicted five people and one legal entity in a long-running corruption case linked to a 160-million-crown contract for new linear accelerators at Prague's Bulovka University Hospital. The charges include bid rigging, embezzlement, bribery, money laundering and obstructing justice. Prosecutors have also asked the court to approve plea agreements with one individual and two companies. According to earlier reports, those charged include former Civic Democratic Party lawmaker Marek Šnajdr, who has denied wrongdoing. The investigation began in 2018 and stems from a broader corruption probe involving procurement at several Czech hospitals.
