During separate Assumption of Charter ceremonies on July 31, Army officials formally established Project Manager Cyber Warfare , or PM CW, and Project Manager Space Superiority and Exploitation , or PM SSE. PM CW was established through the merger of the Program Manager for Defensive Cyber Operations with the Program Manager for Cyber and Space, with Col. David Bergmann as its first project manager. It is focused on cyber warfare and space operations under CPE ISW and will oversee the acquisition, deployment and operation of Army cyberspace capabilities. Mixon said the Army must operate a unified cyber portfolio, noting that offense and defense function as a continuous feedback loop that strengthens both efforts.
