According to the committee, the forensic investigation will be carried out in phases. The initial stage will involve collecting and reviewing existing evidence, consulting key stakeholders, and establishing a scientific framework for the inquiry. He said the objective is to produce a credible and scientifically sound forensic record that will assist the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee in determining the circumstances surrounding the Chikangawa plane crash. He further assured the public that the investigation will respect Malawi’s cultural and religious values while safeguarding the dignity of bereaved families throughout the process.
