Ambassador Hamdy highlighted Egypt’s readiness to support Malawi through expanded scholarship programmes that would enable more Malawian students to pursue higher education in Egyptian institutions.
Mwale also said Malawi stands to benefit from Egypt’s extensive experience in vocational education as the country continues implementing policies aimed at promoting technical skills development, innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions.
The renewed cooperation comes at a time when Malawi is prioritising education reforms designed to produce a skilled workforce capable of supporting national development, industrialisation and economic transformation.
Education experts believe stronger international partnerships such as the one between Malawi and Egypt can help improve knowledge exchange, strengthen institutional capacity and prepare graduates for emerging opportunities in science, technology and innovation.
