Shark Activity Spotted In Scarborough, Authorities Warn Beach-Goers, Swimmers And Boaters In The Area

It started on Tuesday, with a confirmed sighting of two juvenile Great White sharks, both between 6' and 8' long, that were seen swimming in waters off Pine Point Beach near Prouts Neck, where the Scarborough River opens up.
Read More: Great White Sharks Spotted Off Maine CoastAccording to the Police Department's Facebook page:"The Scarborough Public Safety Team is advising the public that an additional 5–7 white sharks were observed today in the waters off Pine Point Beach by a drone operator monitoring the area...The sharks were observed swimming and feeding in nearshore waters.
The sharks appear to be staying in the area of "Pine Point Jetty and the extensive sandbar that runs parallel to the Scarborough River channel, extending seaward toward Green Buoy #3."
If shark activity is spotted in the water nearby, exit the water immediately and follow the instructions of lifeguards or law enforcement.
