ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is heading to Saudi Arabia on Thursday for a crucial two-day official visit as Pakistan seeks to further strengthen its longstanding partnership with Riyadh amid rising regional tensions. The prime minister, accompanied by a high-level delegation, will hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on bilateral cooperation, regional developments and diplomatic efforts to promote stability. Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and said Pakistan stands firmly with the Saudi leadership and people during challenging times. The upcoming visit is expected to further enhance cooperation between Islamabad and Riyadh on diplomatic, economic and regional security matters.
