The superintendent of the McGuffey School District in Washington County will lead Greensburg Salem, following a vote by the school board Wednesday. The Greensburg Salem School Board hired McGuffey Superintendent Andrew Oberg on a five-year contract, ending in June 2031, with a base salary of $165,000. New super has worked nearly 30 years in educationOberg comes to Greensburg Salem with nearly three decades of experience working in education, including six years as superintendent at McGuffey. Oberg’s tentative start date at Greensburg Salem is Aug. 18. Bissell told TribLive in June he wasn’t looking to leave Greensburg Salem but couldn’t pass up the opportunity at Fox Chapel.
