The School Board of Alachua County (SBAC) heard a presentation on school and district grades for 2025-26, including areas of success and areas for improvement, at a meeting on Tuesday night.
For areas of success, Shelnutt noted that five schools increased their letter grade from the last year.
“Shell was even just a couple points away from a B grade,” Shelnutt said.
Shelnutt noted that while Williams improved by one percentage point, the school remained a D and will continue to be in turnaround status.
Shelnutt noted that he has already come up with goals for the upcoming school year.
