SANAA — Yemeni National Resistance forces loyal to the internationally recognized government announced Tuesday the rescue of the crew of an Indian vessel that sank following an attack in the Red Sea. The agency reported that Yemen’s naval forces and coast guard carried out a joint operation that successfully rescued all 14 crew members 13 Indian sailors and one Yemeni. No fatalities were recorded, and the rescued crew received medical assistance after being transferred to safety. No details were provided about the circumstances of the attack or the party responsible, and no group has claimed responsibility as of Tuesday afternoon. The National Resistance, based in the port city of Mokha near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, is led by Presidential Leadership Council member Tareq Saleh.
