A bipartisan bill introduced in the U.S. Senate would continue federal support for startups, entrepreneurs, and job creation by reauthorizing the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Build to Scale program through fiscal year 2030. The Build to Scale Reauthorization Act of 2026, introduced by U.S. Senators Chris Coons of Delaware and Todd Young of Indiana, would provide $50 million annually through 2030 to expand access to capital, strengthen innovation partnerships, and increase support for rural and economically distressed communities. Since 2014, the Build to Scale program has awarded more than $272 million for 426 projects nationwide, supporting more than 58,600 jobs and 6,200 startups. In Delaware, the Delaware Innovation Space has received $2.25 million through the program to expand laboratory space and support entrepreneurs.
