The Firehouse Theater will host “Funnies for Felines,” a charity stand-up comedy showcase, on Thursday, Aug. 13, with all ticket proceeds going to Fine Feline Cat Rescue. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. at the theater, 4 Equality Park Place. The event is BYOB, and representatives from the rescue will be on hand with information on other ways to support the organization. Fine Feline Cat Rescue is a nonprofit founded in 2018 that focuses on cats and kittens considered less adoptable, including seniors and animals with special needs. The Firehouse Theater programs shows year-round, including live improv from The Bit Players every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.
