Roland A. Laurin Jr.Hatfield, MA – Roland A. Laurin Jr., 83, of Hatfield, passed away on Thursday July 23, 2026. He was born in Springfield on October 5, 1942, to the late Roland and Gertrude (Pratt) Laurin Sr. Roland was educated in Amherst Schools and was a graduate of Amherst Regional High School class of 1960. After high school, Roland enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1964 to 1968. After returning home, he held various jobs, including 32 years as a custodian for the Town of Amherst school department. He enjoyed watching trains, following all UMass sports, and traveling with his longtime companion and dear friend, Linda Nolet, who sadly passed away in 2024.
