A specialist North Wales Police team safeguarded 167 children last year through investigations into online child sexual abuse last year. The Online Child Abuse Investigation Team is made up of two detective sergeants, nine police officers and two intelligence researchers. In the past 12 months the team, which covers North Wales in its entirety, has overseen 84 arrests and the seizure of 356 digital devices. Concerns about online child sexual exploitation can be reported to North Wales Police, or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
