A retro gaming lounge could soon open in Wrexham city centre as part of new plans submitted to Wrexham Council. Asbri Planning Ltd has lodged the plans on behalf of MB Games Ltd to open the new venue on the ground floor of Eagles Meadow, in the unit currently occupied by Barnardo’s. The applicant already operates several similar gaming venues across the UK, which are described as being open to people of all ages, including families, groups and individuals. Planning documents state that the venue will not include slot or coin-based reward games and would therefore not be classed as a gambling premises. Instead visitors can play a fee to enter the premises and have unlimited game time on all consoles and arcade machines.
