Sarah Ann Gammon (née Helling), who spent most of her life living in Gladstone Street, disappeared in 1924 after moving to Canada with her soldier husband Duncan Gammon. This tale resurfaced in 2022 thanks to historians Paul and Rose Hurley, who submitted an article to the Northwich & Winsford Guardian as part of their weekly Looking Back column. The couple met with Paul and Rose, who gave them a whistle-stop tour of Winsford, including various locations such as Gladstone Street, Swanlow Lane, John Street, Haigh Street, Delamere Street, and Ledward Street.
