Image: Aurelia MetalsAurelia Metals and Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) have claimed top honours at the 2026 NSW Minerals Council Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) Awards for their technologies that aim to improve workplace safety.
Presented during the annual NSW Minerals Council HSEC Conference in the Hunter Valley, the awards recognise the innovations and initiatives that contribute to greater safety, health, environmental management and community outcomes across the state’s mining sector.
The Safety Excellence Award went to Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group for its Working in Right Places System.
NSW Minerals Council chief executive Stephen Galilee said the awards showcase the sector’s commitment to continuous improvement.
