Let us go back to the memories of Nick Deans’ Red Barn in Huntingville, where Sam Hopper and his Hoedowners were known to perform rather frequently. It is at that renowned red barn that they, for the most part, all met – usually, during one of those Saturday nights. It is in that very same context that Sam Hopper and Jerry Haseltine, another local artist, met. Then, there is Bill Donaldson, who coincidentally also played at Nick Deans’ Red Barn with his Sunset Valley Boys.
