The improvements to the leisure centre form part of wider efforts to secure the future of the ageing leisure centre after plans for a brand-new £25 million replacement facility were scrapped when projected costs rose to more than £42 million. This will include an £8 million redevelopment of Droitwich Spa Lido, a new pump track, skate park, athletics track, splash pad, and an upgrade to the canal paths.
