The Duke Blue Devils' football program hit the practice field for the first time in Fall camp on Wednesday afternoon. They had momentum going into this offseason, but it was quickly deflated when quarterback Darian Mensah transferred to Miami. Now, as Duke opens up camp, Diaz and his staff got a look at both quarterbacks on Wednesday as Walker Eget and Dan Mahan both got reps. Following practice, Diaz spoke to the media about the quarterback battle and offered some good insight. The redshirt freshman may face the uphill battle in this contest with him not starting a single game in college yet.
