Man who pocketed more than £100,000 running company for 3 years while banned jailed

Peter Etherington, 68, from Belle Vue in Ilkley, pocketed more than £101,000 whilst running PP Global Media Ltd and acting as a director for more than three years even though he was banned from doing so.
Other directors of the company became aware of irregularities when a car leasing company used by Etherington complained of unpaid fees.
Miss Clegg said despite his banned status Etherington received £101,529 in payments – more than other named directors who got £98,000 and £30,400 respectively.
Previous offencesEtherington was first disqualified from acting as a company director for 11 years in February 2017, following misconduct at Etherington Media Ltd.
“[You demonstrated] deliberate concealment of your disqualified status and use of others as nominal directors whilst you continued to control the business.”
