ST. PAUL — While the FIFA World Cup didn’t play matches in Minnesota, the U.S. men’s national soccer team is coming back to St. Paul for an international friendly against Canada at Allianz Field on Oct. 6. Prior to its stop in St. Paul, the USMNT will face Peru on Sept. 26 in Orlando, Fla., Chile on Sept. 29 in St. Louis, Mo., and Mexico on Oct. 3 in Glendale, Ariz. The U.S. played its coldest match in Minnesota in February 2022 during a 3-0 win over Honduras in a World Cup qualifier. The U.S. carries a 3-0-0 record at Allianz Field, with a 4-0 win over Guyana in 2019 and a 4-0 victory over Oman in 2023. The rival Canadians will be a stiffer test for the U.S. than the three previous opponents to play at Allianz Field.
