ADVERTISEMENTThe mini roundabouts are in place now on Oak Street at South Eighth Street and 13th Street Southeast for detoured traffic during the next phase of work on Highway 210/Washington Street.
ADVERTISEMENTAs a daily Oak Street driver, council member Gabe Johnson praised the temporary roundabouts.
Johnson also noted the east side of Oak Street is set to be redone in 2029, and one plan includes a roundabout at 28th Street.
During the new phase of construction, eastbound traffic will be detoured on South Sixth Street, Oak Street, Highway 25 and 10th Avenue Northeast.
Westbound traffic will be detoured on 10th Avenue Northeast, Highway 25, Oak Street and South Eighth Street.
