An evacuation warning was issued for a brush fire burning in north of Los Angeles. The Buzzard Fire, estimated at about 180 acres, was reported at about 8 a.m. near the Kern County community of Lebec. An evacuation warning, meaning people should be prepared to evacuate, was issued for the area. Last year at this time, the agency reported 5,124 fires that burned 279,900 acres. The five-year average in California for this time of year is 5,567 fires and 444,262 acres burned.
