Reform UK says it would pay members of the public for tip-offs that lead to successful prosecutions of High Street shops employing illegal workers if it gains power. The Home Office said it was already increasing penalties for companies hiring illegal workers. Yusuf said that if Reform entered office, it would make chief executives and directors of large companies personally and criminally liable for illegal working, under legislation he dubbed the "Deliveroo law". A spokesperson for Deliveroo said: "Illegal working should absolutely be addressed, and that's why we've led the industry in cracking down on the sophisticated, organised criminals who attempt to abuse our platform. "We run Right to Work checks on all riders, conduct multiple daily identity checks and use cutting-edge fraud-detection technology, and we'd encourage other industries affected by illegal working to do the same".
