Jerry E. Janney, 83, of Narrows, VA, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at his home after a long illness. Born October 28, 1942, in Narrows, VA, he was the son of the late Dave and Iline Janney. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Robert Janney; sisters, Bobbie Snidow, Gloria Woods, and Dinah Pettrey; mother-in-law, Lois Thompson, whom he dearly loved; grandson, Devon Chey Janney; and granddaughter, Raegan Page Janney. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carilion Clinic Hospice for the excellent care they provided Jerry and the family. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows, VA. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
