Regardless, based on Scripture throughout the Old and New Testaments, we can declare with David, "God is for me," at every juncture of life. Another encouraging thought from Scripture that comes to mind is that God is always at work in our world and in our lives individually. Then we find God commanding Abraham to sacrifice that precious son as a burnt offering. Abraham knew that only "God would (and could) provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering," in Isaac's stead. If we are serving our God and walking with Him, someone has said, "God has you right where He wants you to do you good and glorify Him in the midst of unexpected and unwelcome circumstances."
