The Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) in Brazil has announced Flávia Almeida as its next president, Art Review reports.
Almeida, who is currently the institution’s vice president, will take the reins from Heitor Martins, who is leaving in September, after twelve years in the role.
Almeida has a strong background in business and management.
Before arriving at MASP, she was director of Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, on whose board she still sits; she also chaired the board of São Paulo’s Instituto Tomie Ohtake.
He leaves MASP with a R$30 million ($6 million) reserve.
