News ReleaseKENDALLVILLE — The Dekko Foundation, a private family foundation located in Kendallville, recently awarded more than $680,000 to 13 youth-serving organizations, including two in Warsaw and one in Silver Lake, which reaped the lion’s share of the grant total with $300,000. — Shore Church Inc./Rainbow Years, Shipshewana: $9,000 to improve classroom environments to support better concentration and engagement. Programs in Kendallville, Garrett, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Twin Valley, Minn., Auburn and Huntington also received money in this round of funding. The Dekko Foundation’s mission is to “foster economic freedom through education,” according to the foundation. Its grant-making is concentrated within 13 counties in four states — Indiana, Iowa, Alabama and Minnesota — where Dekko had business or personal interests.
