Apple Limits Bug Bounty Submissions After a Barrage of AI Entries
['About Our Expert']

Apple is limiting the number of submissions security experts can make to its Apple Security Bounty program.
Submissions can be made via Apple’s dedicated portal, and there wasn’t a cap on the number of submissions one could make until recently.
In June, Apple decided to impose a cap after receiving a barrage of AI-assisted submissions, The Financial Times reports.
The report highlighted an Italian research group’s recent experience with the Apple Security Bounty program.
Apple has human experts to verify each bug report, but the company also uses AI to assess the urgency of reports, the FT adds.
