Windows 11’s File Explorer is getting a context menu customization tool to help you clean up the clutter of options it has undoubtedly collected as you've installed apps. It’s a welcome addition after Microsoft broke traditional context menu customization utilities with the release of Windows 11 way back in 2021. Windows Central further reports that Microsoft is working on a new compact menu design for File Explorer that will also open faster. You can still open the classic context menu by clicking the Show More Options link in the menu or holding the Shift key as you right-click in File Explorer. Many third-party applications add options only to the classic context menus, so this is currently essential for backward compatibility.
