Year after year, especially recently, it has been the same ordeal at Major League Baseball's trade deadline. We see the Nationals trade away key contributors because the team is not in a position for a postseason spot. Also in the Soto trade, the Nationals acquired MacKenzie Gore, who was flipped to the Texas Rangers this offseason, for a huge haul of now top-rated prospects for the Nationals. The Nats did win the Juan Soto trade by a long shot, even though Soto is a great player. I cannot wait for the day the Nationals decide to be buyers at the trade deadline.
