The Dingle family was left devastated in tonight's episode of Emmerdale after saying goodbye to beloved family dog Monty. Last night's instalment saw Cain Dingle learn that Monty's cancer had spread, and he made the heart-wrenching decision to have him put down. Rhona comforted Cain, assuring him that this was the most humane thing to do, with Cain bravely asking them to "get it over with". Cain asked Rhona if it would hurt, to which she said no, empathising that death is "always upsetting" and his feelings are understandable. Sam, Mandy, and Kammy met Cain, Isaac, and Kyle as they arrived back at home, ready to lay Monty to rest.
