Credit: AAPLabor MP Ed Husic’s team has announced he is taking a “short period of leave” from parliament after he was injured in a “serious” car crash on a Sydney motorway. His office said Mr Husic was grateful he didn’t sustain more severe injuries and thanked first responders. Mr Husic, the former industry and science minister, was elected in 2010 and lost his portfolio in a cabinet reshuffle after a factional fight last year.
