Artworks Transferred to Yale Art GalleryAugust 5, 2026In August 2019, a number of important artworks in the Yale Collection of American Literature were permanently transferred to the Yale University Art Gallery (see the complete list of works and images below). These works may periodically be installed in the YUAG galleries, where they may be viewed by students and scholars (see: YUAG Hours and Directions). Please direct questions about the works to the American Paintings and Sculpture Collection at the Art Gallery. Questions about the archival collections to which these artworks belonged while housed at the Beinecke Library should be addressed to the Curators of the Yale Collection of American Literature.
