-- A dangerous Michiana intersection for notorious, even deadly crashes, is supposed to be a lot safer now. Last week, INDOT wrapped up work at the US31/SR10 intersection in Marshall County near Argos, installing what's called a Reduced Conflict Intersection (RCI). INDOT officials say it is all done to avoid crashes in what once was considered a confusing and ultimately dangerous intersection. While the new design may look foreign to some drivers, INDOT says it's not much different than what drivers were already doing to avoid the intersection in the past. This is only a temporary solution; INDOT is still planning a major overhaul of the intersection by installing an interchange.
