Private jet charter, aircraft management, and maintenance specialist SC Aviation (COL, Janesville) has acquired fellow private aviation company Heartland Aviation (NTC, Eau Claire). “When I looked at who could give this operation the best platform to grow, SC Aviation was the clear answer,” said Nick Fancher, president and CEO of Heartland Aviation. Like Heartland, SC Aviation also manages aircraft that are not currently Part 135-certified. Although Heartland Aviation will continue operating under the same name, it remains unclear whether the two Part 135 certificates will be consolidated. SC Aviation is part of Colony Brands, a multichannel direct-marketing and e-commerce catalogue company formerly known as The Swiss Colony.
