The CSRD issued an evacuation alert for 217 properties due to the Bradley Creek wildfire, which is burning west of Vernon. “Over the next two days, higher winds and the potential for dry lightning is in the forecast,” the CSRD said. The regional district reminded residents to call in any sign of a wildfire by dialing *5555 from any cell phone to connect with the BC Wildfire Service reporting line. The regional district said all residents, including those outside an evacuation alert area, should be prepared with a grab-and-go bag and plans for their families in the event of an emergency.
