The release did not specifically mention accessing the Apple Bowl, prompting numerous fans to contact the Sun with concerns about getting to the stadium. The road closure itself only affects the southbound lane, meaning motorists will be able to get to the stadium going northbound from Highway 97. The southbound closure, expected to be in place until Aug. 21, is due to construction necessary as part of the new Parkinson Rec Centre.
