The driver of a BMW sedan with four industrial-sized containers of vegetable oil insecurely strapped to the roof was just one of the motorists nabbed by West Vancouver Police for unsafe driving over the August long weekend. During a blitz over the August long weekend, West Van Police and the B.C. Highway Patrol handed out more than 270 tickets to motorists nabbed for unsafe driving between West Vancouver and Whistler. West Van Police handed out more than 150 tickets during the July campaign.
