This includes calling for a Water Protection Zone on the River Wye and signing the Charter.
She recently signed the Charter for the River Wye, which outlines six principles for the river’s future, including the right to flow naturally, the right to biodiversity, and the right to be free from pollution.
Ms Fookes has also written to the Environment Minister urging action to protect the river and is planning a summer tour to meet volunteer groups working on river restoration across Monmouthshire.
She said: "Since being elected, cleaning up our rivers has been one of my top priorities because I know just how important they are to both people and nature across Monmouthshire.
"I'll continue doing everything I can, both here in Monmouthshire and in Parliament, to secure the action needed to clean up and protect our rivers for future generations."
