Instead, Wales struggles with ineffective governance, dominated by a few parties unable to reach consensus. Wales, along with Northern Ireland and Scotland, is increasingly dependent on the taxes paid by England and the wealth it generates. The more money that is diverted to English cities, the less there is for Welsh communities and public services. Our economic and social wellbeing is becoming more intertwined with, and dependent on, the wealth of England. The time has come for Wales to stand on its own two feet, rather than being increasingly dependent on English wealth that is drained from our land and communities.
