On the evening of Sunday, August 2, officers were called to a break-in at Piwnica on London Road. Writing on social media, the restaurant said: "Heads up to all local residents of the area in Reading - we’ve recently had a break-in. A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "We're investigating a burglary at Piwnica on London Road, Reading.
